A+ Squash Community Outreach with Open Hand Atlanta

A+Squash was thrilled to volunteer with Open Hand Atlanta, a foundation that is passionate about building a healthier community by creating access to healthy meals.

Open Hand has packaged thousands of meals and delivers them daily for those in need across the Atlanta community. A+Squash was excited to participate in this amazing cause and the lessons of empathy and giving as our team hand-delivered meals throughout Atlanta was incredible. Teaching not only the benefit of volunteering, but increasing our foundation as a team by working together throughout the day to ensure more than 50 meals were delivered.

A+Squash's own Angel Osorio, is attending one of the Top Ranked High Schools in the Nation, The Westminster Schools and  will tryout for the Westminster Squash Team! Angel joined A+ Squash in 2015, and has worked extremely hard on and off the court earning a spot at this prestigious school.

"A+ started by showing me the little known sport called squash, which became addicting and helped me make great friends. A+ also exposed me to my current school, Westminster. I fell in love with the school when we began practicing there and knew this was the high school I wanted to be at. With the help of my A+ family, they helped me gain recommendations and great squash skills. All of their support helped with my enrollment. As a student now I try to give back to A+ Squash as much as time permits." - Angel Osorio

A+ Squash is thrilled to welcome back Coach Lynnie Minkowski, as she steps into her new role as the Director of Youth Development. Coach Lynnie is excited to return to A+Squash with a specific focus on each individual students' development on and off court. Lynnie also looks forward to introducing squash to a new team of 5th graders while creating an intense high school program for players transitioning from middle to high school.

Coach Lynnie will focus on increasing fitness goals, and elevating squash skills across the board while implementing teambuilding, leadership and goal setting strategies for A+ students. While squash is a key component of our programming, Lynnie is dedicated to ensuring the academic success of each student as well and plans to create specific programming for every grade level. Junior Squash is steadily growing in Atlanta and Coach Lynnie is passionate about adding the scholar athletes of A+Squash to that number. Welcome Back!
